If you have a laptop, computer or portable device with Internet capability, there are a variety of ways you can tune in and watch MSNBC live and absolutely free. You can watch MSNBC live on the Internet, just like on TV.
Everyone is “cord-cutting” in the name of trying to find more affordable streaming services. Cable packages have just gotten so out of hand in pricing, especially for those that only watch a couple channels a couple times a week. However, where cable subscriptions “get” you, is that some cord-cutting options don’t have your favorite channels, meaning you may have to give them up if you switch content services.
However, if you really want to pull the plug on your current cable subscription, we’ll show you all of the ways that you can still at least watch MSNBC live online without cable. So without further ado, here’s how:
Streaming devices
First, there’s actually a lot of streaming hardware that you can use to watch MSNBC. We’re talking devices that you can plug into your TV like the Amazon Fire TV stick and the Roku Ultra. Amazon actually offers a dedicated MSNBC channel on the Fire Stick and Fire TV, with you just needing to download it from their app store. The MSNBC app operates a little differently than others in that you may need a separate account with MSNBC to be able to “log in” to view live TV from that specific channel.

SlingTV
Next up, we think SlingTV is one of the best options available for cord cutters, offering affordable streaming packages and a la carte channels. There’s a few popular options they don’t have available right now — like Fox News — but SlingTV does have MSNBC available in one of their packages. MSNBC is actually in their “News Extra” package, which costs a meager $5 per month. You’ll need one of their core services to purchase the News Extra package, such as Sling Blue. However, that adds very little to how much you’re paying, and is a small amount in comparison to outrageous cable prices.

DirecTV Now
DirecTV Now is one of the best services that you can use for watching MSNBC. The TV streaming service actually has a ton of different news networks that they offer. To get access to these channels, you’ll need to be signed up for DirecTV Now’s “Live a Little” package, which starts at $35 per month.
The cool thing about DirecTV Now is that it’s available on so many different platforms. You’ll be able to easily watch it on almost any type of device you have.

Hulu
If you didn’t know already, Hulu is actually one of the ways that you can watch MSNBC live online. They’re offering a service called Hulu with Live TV, which as the name implies, allows you to watch live TV. In addition to MSNBC, there are a ton of other news channels. You can watch them live or on-demand.
Hulu with Live TV will cost you $40 per month, but Hulu tries to add in a lot of value by bundling their regular streaming package into it as well. That said, you can still watch your favorite shows that aren’t live anymore, too.

YouTube TV
YouTube TV is another one worth looking at. It offers access to MSNBC as part of their $35 per month subscription. However, it can be difficult to access, as YouTube TV’s content highly depends on what market and region you are in in the United States. YouTube TV has also been said to have issues with occasional black outs as well.
If you want to give it a shot, YouTube TV does offer a free trial before charging you that $35 per month price point.

PlayStation Vue
PlayStation Vue is another great one, and unlike popular opinion, doesn’t require a PlayStation 4 to use. It actually functions similarly to the other services on this list, allowing you to download the PlayStation Vue app on whatever smart device you have. And then, from the app, you can seamlessly watch TV, including MSNBC!. PlayStation Vue actually works with a ton of different devices, including the Fire TV and Roku.
PlayStation Vue offers access to a whole arensal of news channels. To get access to MSNBC specifically, you’ll need to sign up for the “Access” tier within PlayStation Vue, which will run you $40 per month. You’ll, of course, have access to a ton of other channels as well.
